Ugo Bardi teaches physical chemistry at the University of Florence. He is active in research on environmental issues such as resource depletion, renewable energy, system dynamics applied to economics and more. He is member of the scientific committee of the ASPO association for the study of peak oil. Founder and former president of the Italian section of ASPO. Fellow of the International Centre of the Club of Rome in Winthertur, Switzerland,
He is member of the scientific committee of the "Climalteranti" group active in climate science.
